First, to join Shopify Partners, you must have a Shopify account. Once you have it, you can convert that basic account into a partner account by going to this link and entering the email with which you created your basic account.
You will be redirected to another screen where you will need to enter your personal information such as name, surname, email, and password. Next, you will also be asked for corporate information such as address, postal code, country, business email, and business name.
However, you will also need to provide a document explaining why you want to join the partners program and your experience in the ecommerce world.
Once you complete this process, you will receive a confirmation email that you need to open and click on the included button.
You will be redirected to the partners welcome page, and you can start your journey there.

How Much Can You Earn with Shopify Partners?
If you create a theme for an ecommerce site or help develop their online store, you will receive 20% of what the ecommerce pays while using the platform. If you recommend Shopify and the person becomes a customer because of you, your commission will be what a user pays for two months on the platform. If you develop apps or themes and sell them in the tool’s App Store, your commission will be 80% of the total generated.
Regardless of which method you use to generate extra income, the payment process is as follows:
- All earnings in the first 15 days of the month (inclusive) will be received 5 days after the 15th.
- All earnings from the 16th to the last day of the month will be received 5 days after the last day.
However, the money transfer will only occur if you accumulate $25 or more in earnings. If you have less, the amount will be retained until you reach the minimum, and the payment will be made according to the aforementioned timelines. Note that referral and sales earnings are managed separately, so you might have more than $25 combined, but each activity must individually reach the minimum for payment.
Additionally, you should note that all earnings are calculated in US dollars (USD).
