Revlon Professional is a leading brand in the beauty and hair care sector that focuses on innovation and excellence. Revlon offers a wide range of high quality products for salons, beauty professionals, and consumers worldwide.

Headquartered in the United States, the company has been in business for more than 80 years and has an extensive international presence in more than 120 countries.

In the UK, Revlon Professional has a strong presence in the hair care market. Its product ranges include hair treatments, color, conditioners, and other hair care products designed to meet the needs of a wide variety of customers.


In 2021, Revlon Professional began work on its blog for hairdressing professionals in the UK. The strategy for the blog included both branded and unbranded content.


The main objective was to improve Revlon Professional’s position in search results and for their blog to become the go-to for all beauty and hairdressing professionals. 


Revlon Professional chose Cyberclick as their digital partner to help them with their content strategy for 2022, 2023, and onwards. The goal was to work together to improve SEO positioning and monitor SEO metrics to track growth.

1. Strategy

We developed a monthly SEO content strategy for Revlon Professional’s UK blog, where several types of actions were undertaken: 

  • Publishing unbranded content, i.e. content about the sector.  This content was planned and created through a combination of short and long tail keyword strategies. 
  • Publishing branded content related to Revlon Professional and its products. This was defined based on the brand's press releases and sales folder, always with the objective of creating content optimized for SEO.
  • Optimizing existing articles to improve their current positioning.

In order to develop SEO optimized content, we conducted keyword research and defined 6 current content clusters: Care & Styling, Color, Community & Events, Technique & Education, and Trends & Business.


From March 2022 to March 2023, clicks increased by 58% and impressions went up by 60%. In the same period of time, visits increased by 306% and unique visitors by 320%.

Due to publishing and optimizing content, some blog posts showed a significant increase from March 2022 to March 2023. In addition, visibility on Google increased by 1.68% compared to the previous year.


In addition, the new strategy resulted in a wide variety of new keywords ranking in Google for the UK market between 2022 and 2023, as well as a noticeable improvement in SEO positioning.
